I liked visiting new places and going to my favorite places.
As the time passed, I entered in college from School. Then started working as I graduated from college. Now, I am married and a lot more busy taking care of all the responsibilities.
There have been times, ranging from days to years when I did not even think of any of these activities, which I liked a lot. I always wanted to have some free time and do what ever I liked. Actually, I was asking for something that would at least refresh my mind. I did not even think beyond this minimum expectation, as I had to handle so many things. I went on with weekends and free days with the same expectation. I used to make me feel that I feel good. But there was still something else, something more that I was looking for. Lack of which was not making these holidays incomplete and I gradually felt that I need to do something different. whatever I am doing is not giving me the freshness that I am looking for. However, I did not even have time to think a way out for me.

Then came this special weekend. My wife likes to hang-out a lot. Since many days I had not taken her out the way she likes. I knew that I had to do it to keep her fresh and make her more cheerful. So, I and my friend Vishal planned for a hang out on this weekend. The plan was about to be canceled, as I had to attend a function and Vishal had to go for a meeting. However, we still decided to go for at least a small drive away from city.
I, wife, Vishal and one more friend went out of city. The scene was full of lush green plants and full of beauty. It cheered all of us and especially my wife. We halted at a place had badinage, cherished some college time memories and had lot of fun. We were out for hardly 2.5 hours. However, it made a lot of difference.

Next day when I was thinking of our small hang-out, I realized a lot of things. Gradually I realized that, I still like hanging-out more than just relaxing at home. I felt an urge to re-visit my favorite place, which I used to visit almost every other weekend, the J.M. Road in Pune. I felt that I still like to be in my group, teasing each other, having fun and eating delicious food from 'Hathgadiwalas'. I wanted to visit different showrooms and sellers on the road and go for a movie with friends. I wanted to go on a long ride on bike. Even thoughts of these activities started refreshing me.

Responsibilities, work at hand and to do, had taken away these pleasures from me. I had even forgot to think about these. I was trying to find pleasure in other activities, which did not succeed to the fullest. I had accepted the fact that I am changed and there is nothing I can do about it. However, this weekend changed everything and I re-found myself. I realized that, if you care enough to be honest with you, to spare some time for your true-self, work hard enough to do what you like and live a happy life. Age, time, responsibilities and experiences change ourselves, however, your true-self still remains the same. That is the one that will truly keep the same vigor in you and keep you happy; if you let it do it.

Times do change, but not enough to change your true-self.

Going out of Bounds - Work for only a week in an organization

This is a real and exciting story of Mr. Aiken and his out of bounds way to find the right field for him.
Most of us choose the field related to our major in college. However, most of us are not sure whether this is right field for him or not. Most of us do not think whether this will give us the satisfaction which he is looking for. And then we continue to work in the same field because either there is no choice or we do not have courage or time to look for the right field. I would rather say that, we do not try to go out of the way to look for something right for us.
However, Mr.Aiken did what nobody did. Aiken was in same dilemma of 'which field to choose' as career? which field will be good for him? He had no clue, like all of us. However, he gave a little bit more thought to this. Then he came up with a plan. He decided to do something, that nobody had ever done. He decided that; to choose the right field, he will work in different organizations and sectors for only one week. He started applying to many organizations. Initially no company allowed him to work like this. A lot of time went in this procedure. Later, he started getting calls for jobs. He started working in his conditions. His condition was simple - Let me work for only one week.
Over a period, this style of working became a news. As this was unique, it grabbed a lot of publicity. And Aiken became a Famous Personality. At this stage, companies started calling him to work for them. The employees of the organization where Aiken worked for a week, started throwing Farewell parties. The towns where ever Aiken has worked became Famous and Mayors of that town could be seen feeling proud to listen to Aiken talking about why he chose that town and Organization to work.
One Airline company has sponsored Aiken's Air travel now and also helps him prepare his complete itinerary . And (probably) one company is offering him free stay as well.
Amazing isn't it! But there are lots of efforts behind this. He had to prepare a compete plan for his travel, he had to book motels for stay and also had to keep traveling for many hours to reach to different places. However, he bore all of this.
All this happened because Aiken did not only think differently, but also worked per his plan to get what he wanted. It's possible, only if you make it possible. Like Aiken.
Don't hesitate. Go for your dreams!

Post 1 : As an Infant

We do not remember anything that we might have done as an Infant. Nature has created us in such a way that we are not supposed to remember this all. And I believe that is a gift because, I feel that this must be the best time of our entire life time. So, if we remember this then we will only live in the past, remembering this time and might lose hope and wish to live the rest of the life. God is Great!
When we see a child, we feel the urge to take the child in hand, feel the soft touch of the baby. We want the baby to look at us and smile at least once. We do all non-sense things to make the baby laugh. Even if the baby replies in exactly opposite way, we still enjoy. We laugh. And when the difficult to please baby shows his rare, hard to get, a thing to die for smile, we feel the sudden burst of happiness within us like winning a million dollar prize. That's the magic of a smile of a baby.
We enjoy this and want to feel this again and again. We see that many people forget time when they are playing with a child. It gives new hopes to the Grandparents of that child. The whole family keeps revolving around the baby and that baby becomes the center of the family.
When we think about this, we forget that we were also a baby sometime ago. We also have done the same things to our relatives and those who have dared to play with us that the baby in front of does. However, we have made them laugh too. But, we will never remember this; because it has to be like this.
Kids do not remember trivial things, they do not keep that in mind as an unpleasant memory, that is why they are innocent. That is why they survive easily. They can play immediately after crying for long time and cry almost instantaneously if something goes wrong or against their wish. They can ask any question to anybody without fear, they can dance, jump, play and fall anywhere without hesitation. Because they do not worry about others and the world. Worry, hesitation, jealousy are the feelings that we give them and are inherited from this world. Living without these feelings is the best way to live life.
I remember many of my childhood memories. I still remember, in rainy season, we used to face power cut-off. At that time we all (my elder brother and sister and I) use to sit near the door of home and used to watch the lightnings in the sky and they used to tell me "See there was God Rama and Sita and Laxmana". I used try to find the Gods there, could never find but used to tell them with confidence "I saw. I saw.". I had the vigor to be able to do all that they can do and see. I was not old enough to understand whether its right or not. But, I had the will to be like them. In return I used to get all that I wanted. I still enjoy the feeling of being loved, cuddled and cared by them.
Babies live in their Happy and Peaceful world. The Happiest way to live life is to live like a child. Isn't it!

My Mini-series of stages of life.

I am starting a Mini-series of posts on 'Different stages of life'. Desire might originate because of numerous things (Which I am not listing here). Here 'The Desire' is the driving force. That leads to think what do we want it? How we want it to be? When do we want it? This is a chain reaction. (Chain reaction is a process which starts with a point of origin and then triggers many reactions one after other. where, every other step is dependent on the step prior to it). The chain reaction also triggers lot of actions at Subconscious level. It is believed that our mind has a conscious and a subconscious level. The Subconscious level is too strong, never in picture, we never easily feel what is happening at this level and needs strong force to be activated.
The desire is registered at Subconscious level. If the desire is too strong then this Subconscious level actually comes in picture and generates an invisible force to get the desired act done. This is what we call 'Will power'. This is one of the energies of universe which is not fully explored and not completely trusted. However, those who experience it, understand and believe this, get amazed by it. Yes, I have experienced this energy. And you can experience this too!
Believe in your self. Create believe in the forces of nature and forces of universe. Start training your mind. If you wish anything to happen,
Think about that thing with concentration,
Develop that concept as much as possible,
Keep thinking about the same thing again and again,
Think with the belief that this is going to happen,
Give your best of everything to it.
IT WILL HAPPEN.

Do you have any doubt about it. Try it. However, the key to success is that, do not lose the faith and patience. The outcome will come. However, it will depend on your belief, will power and true desire. But, yes it will happen.

"Perseverance prevails when all else fails".

It costs you nothing and requires no extra time, or anything. Just wish what you want to have. And keep wishing! Keep thinking!

All the best!

(Please let me know your views about this and what would you like to read about. Thanks for your cooperation!).

Act in right manner. And we react to it. This sometimes worsens the situations. How to stop this from happening?

Let us consider a situation :
You get up in the morning. Get ready for office, college or any activity. Now, you are in hurry. You are wearing your best shirt or formal shirt. Are having your breakfast. And suddenly somebody spills tea over your shirt. You get angry. You get frustrated. You shout on the person who has spilled tea on your shirt. Say something that hurts the person too much. Anyways you will get late.
And even when you come home, the person does not speak to you. And the atmosphere is tense.

Now consider this situation :
You get up in the morning. Get ready for office, college or any activity. Now, you are in hurry. You are wearing your best shirt or formal shirt. Are having your breakfast. And suddenly somebody spills tea over your shirt. You feel bad and frustrated. However, right now the important thing for you is to reach your destination as early as possible. So, you just ask that person to take care in future. You go and change. And leave. You might reach there on time, as time wasted on shouting, talking has been saved. The person feels really sorry. When you come home, shows concern for you and your task. Apologizes. You also feel good that the person really cares about me.

These are two different outcomes of the same situation. What is the difference here? The difference is in the reaction. You can not control what will happen. However, you can certainly control reaction to it. Why not to control, that you can!
So, always be calm, do not get frustrated, give priority to solving the problem. Smile and get back to work. 90% outcome of any situation depends on your reaction. So think before you react. Do not let emotions control your life. Instead, let you control your life.
Live a better life!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://getthebestone.blogspot.com/2007/10/act-in-right-manner-do-not-react.html' title='Act in right manner.
